MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is a cosmetic skin treatment procedure in which tiny needles are inserted into the skin to create micro-injuries. This stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin, which can lead to an improvement in the skin’s appearance, including the reduction of acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots, and discoloration.
Other benefits of microneedling include improved blood circulation and increased penetration of active ingredients into the skin. It has also been shown to be effective in treating skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.
Microneedling is generally suitable for all skin types.
It should not be used on acutely inflamed skin — it should not be used on herpes, pustules, wounds, cuts, sunburn, or other acute infections or injuries.
This depends heavily on the needle length used during microneedling and therefore the reason for the treatment.
The length of time until social engagement after microneedling also depends on the needle length used, the intensity of the needling, and therefore the cause of the treatment. The social engagement time can therefore be determined before the start of treatment. Slight redness or minimal swelling can occur for varying lengths of time, but usually lasts no longer than three days.
